Christopher Banks - Vape Expert

Store Assistant & Content Writter

Chris works at Alectrofag as a shop assistant, where he has spent years getting to grips with vaping, both the technology and the people behind it. He’s always on hand to help out on the shop floor, offering advice that comes from real experience, not just theory. When he’s not chatting to customers, you’ll find him writing about vaping tech, digging into the details of new products, or answering the questions that pop up most. Outside of the shop, Chris is usually lost in music, playing his guitar and chasing fresh sounds. For him, it’s not about the jargon, it’s about making sense of the vaping world and sharing that with anyone who wants to understand it better.

How experienced are you in vaping?

My experience with vaping started years ago as a way to quit smoking. Pretty typical, I know, but once I got into it, I realised there’s a lot more going on. The tech side caught my interest, and I am still learning now, to be fair.

What kind of expertise do you bring to the table?

I specialise in writing product deep-dives and how-to guides, which are the kind of content people need to get the best out of their devices. I try to explain things in plain terms. Not everyone wants a chemistry lesson when they’re just trying to understand why their coil’s burnt out again.

Do you have any hobbies you are into?

Music’s a big one. I play guitar, not professionally or anything, just for the love of it.

What’s a normal day like for you at Alectrofag?

It’s a mix, which I quite like. One moment I’m on the shop floor helping someone figure out their first kit, the next I might be sitting behind the counter scribbling notes for a blog post. People come in with all sorts of questions, and half the time, those questions end up shaping what I write about.

Is there a particular part of vaping tech that interests you most?

Coils and airflow, I’d say. The little details that change how a vape actually feels. Sometimes I get a bit carried away testing different setups, not always for work, just out of curiosity.
