What Are Vape Starter Kits?
Vape starter kits are beginner-friendly devices designed to help individuals transition into vaping. This kit is a complete package that includes all the components required for setting up the device. To choose the best starter vape, it’s recommended to select the one that offers a cigarette-like draw, such as Endura T22E Kit by Innokin, Innokin EZ Watt, Aspire Pockex Anniversary, and more.
What is Included in a Vape Starter Kit?
From charging cables and battery devices to fluid tanks, vape starter kits come with all the essential components, including the following:
- Vape Mod: It contains the battery and supplies energy to the coil.
- Tank or Pod: The container where the e-liquid is stored. It’s attached to the battery device and usually has an airflow system to deliver vapour. To know everything about tanks and pods, check our “Complete Guide on Tanks” and “Ultimate Guide on Pods”.
- Coil: When the battery supplies power to the coil, it heats the e-liquid and forms vapours that you can inhale via the mouthpiece. If you know the basics of coils, you’re probably aware that these coils may wear out in a few days, depending on the e-liquid type and frequency of vaping. So, it’s important to clean and replace them regularly.
- Charging Cable (in some cases): Most kits come with a charging cable so you can recharge your vape mod’s battery.
- User Manual: A guide that walks you through how to set up and use the kit.
- E-Liquid: Some kits come with a bottle of e-liquid. These fluids are fully compatible with the type of device you order. Learn everything about these fluids in our “Guide on E-liquids”.
How to Set Up a Vape Starter Kit?
Follow these steps to set up your vape starter kit:
- Charge the Device: Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Install the Coil: Depending on the kit, you may need to install the coil yourself into the pod or tank. Most coils are screw-in and easy to insert into the tank. If the coil is built-in, skip this step.
- Fill the Tank: Open the tank, fill it with e-liquid (making sure not to spill), and securely close it. Be sure to let the coil soak in the liquid for about 5-10 minutes to avoid a dry hit.
- Attach the Tank to the Battery: Once the coil is primed, attach the tank to the mod and ensure it's screwed in tightly.
- Turn On the Device: Some starter kits have visible on/off buttons. However, others may work on the auto-draw mechanism, meaning that you just need to inhale to activate the device.

What Are the Best E-Liquids for Starter Kits?
The type of e-liquids affects the performance of your starter kits. Each e-liquid is packed with special ingredients that could be: Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerine (VG), nicotine (optional), and flavouring. These special devices are designed for 50% or higher PG e-liquids that deliver mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted-direct-to-lung (RTDL) draws. Note that they usually support high-resistance coils (like 0.6Ω, 0.7Ω, 0.8Ω, 0.9Ω, 1Ω, 1.2Ω, etc.), which are only compatible with high PG e-liquids that offer minimal vapour production and a greater throat hit (just like in the case of smoking cigarettes).
Some compatible e-liquids with vape starter kits are:
- Insta Max 20K Sweet Tobacco 10ml E-Liquid by Signature
- Strawberry Milkshake 10ml E-Liquid by Signature
- Love Your Coil Spearmint 10ml Starter E Liquid
- IVG Pina Colada 10ml E Liquid
- Strawberry & Kiwi 10ml E-Liquid by Signature
Always ensure that your chosen fluid is compatible with your device type and its coils. See the manual or reach out to the vape seller for specific information on the best e-liquid for your vape starter kit.
