How to Set Up and Use the Voopoo Drag X2
Setting up the Voopoo Drag X2 pod vape kit doesn’t take long, but doing it right makes all the difference. The process is simple, and once it’s ready, you’ll get the best flavour and performance from the very first puff.
- Unbox and inspect. Remove the Drag X2 device, pods, coils, cable and manual. Check that the pod (DTL pod by default) has a coil pre-installed.
- Prime the coil. If a coil isn’t preinstalled, screw a PnP X coil (start with 0.15Ω or 0.3Ω) into the pod. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the cotton exposed through the coil holes. This saturates the wick to prevent dry hits.
- Fill the pod with e-liquid. Pull off the silicone plug on the side of the pod to open the fill port. Using a needle-tip bottle, slowly squeeze your e-liquid in. Don’t overfill, as it is always a good idea to leave a little air. Reseal the plug firmly to ensure a tight, leak-proof seal. Allow the pod to sit upright for ~5 minutes to let the coil fully soak.
- Insert the battery. Open the C-frame panel on the back of the Voopoo Drag X2. Slide in a charged 18650 battery (positive end first), then snap the panel back on, and the magnets will click it into place.
- Attach the pod. Line up the pod’s contacts with the mod. The pod will snap in magnetically at the top. Now, check that airflow is set as desired by rotating the top cap. For a draw (MTL vs. DTL), feel the airflow and adjust the ring until it’s tight or loose enough.
- Turn on the device. Click the fire button five times quickly, and the screen will light up. This powers the Voopoo Drag x2 kit.
- Check and adjust settings. By default, the Drag X2 device will automatically use Smart Mode and set the wattage to match the coil. You can adjust the wattage with the + and – buttons as needed. To switch modes (Smart/RBA/ECO) or check puff count, press and hold the + and – buttons together to enter the menu. Use +/– to navigate and fire to confirm.
- Lock/unlock if needed. To prevent accidental button presses, hold Fire + Up simultaneously to lock (press again to unlock).
- Take your first puff. Press and hold the fire button while inhaling from the mouthpiece. Inhale smoothly and you’ll immediately notice the Drag X2’s full flavour production and vapour.
How to Operate the Voopoo Drag X2
The Voopoo Drag X2 kit keeps controls pretty straightforward. Five rapid clicks of the fire button are all you need to power the mod on/off. Once on, the screen displays wattage, battery charge, coil resistance, and puffs. You can now adjust wattage using the “+” and “–” buttons; holding both together accesses the menu. The menu lets you change mode (Smart/RBA/ECO), reset puff count, etc. In Smart mode, the chip automatically limits output based on coil specs (so the wattage display might be greyed out until you switch to RBA). To lock the device, hold Fire + Up – repeating that action unlocks it.
Airflow is controlled on the pod itself. Twist the ring at the pod’s top to open or close vents. Tighter airflow (line parallel to slot) means a more restricted (MTL) draw; open it wide for loose (DL) clouds.
