At the core of the Vaporesso XROS Pro pod vape kit is Vaporesso’s AXON chip, the same engine you’ll find in their full-sized mods. It gives the Vaporesso XROS Pro vape kit three distinct power modes: ECO, Normal, and Power, and unlocks the Super Pulse function, which keeps the draw consistent even as the battery dips. COREX Coil Technology
Each Vaporesso XROS Pro 0.4 Ω pod uses Vaporesso’s COREX mesh coil design. COREX replaces traditional cotton with high-tech microfibres that retain e-liquid and flavour longer. In practice, the 0.4 Ω COREX pod produces denser clouds and a smoother, more intense taste with a pronounced throat hit. Vaporesso rates these mesh pods for around 20 mL of vapour (about ten refills of the 2 mL pod in TPD regions). How to Set Up the XROS Pro Vape
Begin by fully charging the Vaporesso XROS Pro pod kit via the included USB-C cable until the battery indicator shows full. Then
- Remove the pod from the device and open the top filling cap on the pod.
- Fill the pod carefully with e-liquid (up to the 2 ml mark) through the top-fill port, then securely close the cap.
- Insert the filled pod into the device until it locks in place.
- Turn on the device by clicking the fire button five times in quick succession (the screen will light up).
- Finally, activate the Vaporesso Pro by inhaling or pressing the fire button to vape.
- For first use, allow a few minutes after filling for the coil to saturate for optimal flavour.
How to Operate the Vaporesso XROS Pro
The Vaporesso XROS Pro kit keeps things simple on the surface, but there’s a good amount of control built into the button and screen once you know where to look. Here's how everything works in practice.
Fire Button: The round button on the front of the Vaporesso XROS Pro vape kit does more than just fire. Press it five times quickly to turn the device on or off. Once it’s powered up, you can: Press twice to toggle the glowing LED ring on or off. Press three times to enter adjustment mode. It will be either wattage control (if you're using the 0.4 Ω pod) or power mode (Eco/Normal/Power) selection for higher-resistance pods. Press four times to reset the puff counter back to zero.
Lock Switch: On the side of the Vaporesso XROS Pro, there’s a physical slider to let you lock or unlock the fire button. Simply slide it up to lock. This will disable the button entirely but still allow you to use the device with inhale-activation. Just as easily, you can slide it back down to unlock and use the button again.
Wattage and Mode Control: You can only make a wattage adjustment when using the 0.4 Ω pod on the Vaporesso XROS Pro pod kit. To adjust the wattage, press the fire button three times, and it will bring up the wattage control. Now you can either tap or hold the button to scroll through power levels in 0.5-watt increments. It wraps around once you hit the 30-watt limit.
If you’re using a higher-resistance pod (like 0.6 Ω), the same three-click shortcut instead cycles through the three power modes mentioned earlier. There's no manual wattage control in these modes, as the Xros Pro vape handles output automatically depending on what the coil can take.
Puff Counter Reset: If you want to reset the puff counter on the Vaporesso XROS Pro kit, just press the fire button four times quickly. You will see the screen blink, and the count will go back to zero. This feature is particularly handy if you're someone who likes to keep track of usage throughout the day.
OLED Display and Charge Indicators
The small screen on the Xros Pro vape shows slightly different info depending on the pod you’re using. When using the 0.4 Ω pod, it displays: Your set wattage (adjustable from 5 to 30 W), Battery level, and Puff count. When you install any other pod, like a 0.6 Ω or higher, the screen will replace wattage with your current power mode. Choose the Eco mode if you want your battery to last longer, use Normal mode to keep output consistent, from full to low battery, and go for the Power mode for the strongest hit that your coil can handle.
Irrespective of the pod you’re using, the battery bar on the Vaporesso XROS Pro pod vape kit will shift between green, blue, and red to show remaining charge. That is not all. The ring light around the fire button also acts as a secondary charge indicator when you are vaping or charging the device. This, however, can be disabled with two clicks if you want to blow clouds discreetly.
Activation Methods
The Vaporesso XROS Pro comes with dual activation. You can either draw on the pod mouthpiece to fire the coil (auto-draw) or you can press and hold the fire button while inhaling. Both methods work interchangeably. For example, if the button is locked, you can still vape by inhaling on the pod, but the fire button won’t work. And with airflow control, you can slide it to adjust your style. If you are after full lung draws (RDL), then keep the airflow open and use higher power. Likewise, for a tighter draw (MTL), you can opt for a more closed slider and use a higher-resistance pod.
Compatibility
The Vaporesso XROS Pro pod vape kit is compatible with all pods in the Vaporesso XROS series. The UK/TPD kit includes two 0.4 Ω mesh pods (2 mL, top-fill) for RDL vaping. You can also use other XROS pods (0.6 Ω, 0.8 Ω, 1.0 Ω, 1.2 Ω, etc.) that you may have from earlier XROS kits. (Note: Only the XROS Pro (and XROS 4 series) will accept the new 0.4 Ω XROS mesh pods.) This wide pod compatibility means you can switch from tight MTL to loose RDL by changing pods and adjusting airflow, all on one device.
