How to Set Up and Use the Luxe XR Max
Getting started with the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max doesn’t take much. Everything’s already in the box, and you just need to fill the pod, let the coil soak, and power it on. Here’s how to do it right:
- Check the pod and coil Take the LUXE XR Max out of the box and remove any stickers. The 0.2 Ω coil comes pre-installed in the pod, but if you prefer the 0.4 Ω, pull out the fitted one and push the other coil into place until it’s seated flush.
- Fill the pod Open the silicone stopper on the bottom of the pod and fill slowly with your e-liquid. These pods hold a decent amount, so take your time and avoid overfilling. Once done, press the plug firmly back in.
- Let the coil soak After filling, set the pod upright and leave it for a few minutes so the coil can fully saturate. This helps avoid dry hits on your first puff.
- Insert the pod Push the filled pod into the top of the device. It’ll click in place with the help of internal magnets, no need to press hard.
- Power on the device Click the fire button five times quickly. The screen and lights will turn on, and the device is ready to go.
- Vape Press and hold the fire button while inhaling through the mouthpiece.
How to Operate the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max
Mastering the Luxe XR Max takes just a few clicks. Once you get the hang of it, the device feels instinctive and responsive.
Fire Button & Touch Controls
- Power on/off / Lock device: Click the fire button five times within two seconds to turn the device on or off, or to lock it after use. The display and LEDs will wake or shut off accordingly.
- Wattage Mode: Tap the fire button three times quickly to unlock the wattage adjustment. Then use the touch-sensitive arrows below the screen to choose your preferred output. Press fire again to confirm and exit.
- Settings Menu: Press the fire button four times in rapid succession to open the menu. You can switch the LED light on or off, toggle Smart Mode, reset the puff counter, or leave the menu.
- Smart Mode: When enabled in the settings menu, Smart Mode detects the coil resistance as soon as you install it and suggests the ideal wattage. It’s a helpful guide, especially if you’re trying out different coil types.
- Vaping: To vape, just hold the fire button while inhaling through the mouthpiece. The AXON chipset will stop the power after 10 seconds to protect the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max and coil.
- Error Alerts: If something’s off, like a short circuit or low battery, the device will pause firing, and the LEDs will flash three to five times in red, depending on the error type.
Compatibility
The Vaporesso Luxe XR Max plays nicely with Vaporesso’s existing pod and coil ecosystem. It supports all GTX coils (from 0.15 Ω dual-mesh up to 3.0 Ω single coils) thanks to the inclusive GTX coil platform. This means you can use any of the popular Vaporesso GTX prebuilt coils for MTL, RDL, or DTL vaping. In other words, you can slip in either the Luxe XR replaceable-coil pods or the sealed Luxe X pods, and the device will fire them (the smart chip will even recognise them). This cross-compatibility gives vapers a wide range of styles to choose from, everything from tight mouth hits to airy direct-lung draws.
