IS VAPING SAFER FOR LUNGS THAN SMOKING?
August 18, 2020
This vaping vs smoking debate is not ending anytime soon. The most repeated concern we hear from people who want to start vaping as an alternative is that: “We will face lung issues after vaping?”
You’ll find the answer to this question in this blog today.
The difference between vaping and smoking?
To go on with this topic we first need to know the actual difference between vaping and smoking.
Vaping is an action of inhaling and exhaling the vapour produced by any vape device. The e-liquid that is inhaled is made up of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, flavours which by the way, are all these are food-grade products that are commonly used in many other food items and the option of nicotine.
Smoking is the action of inhaling and exhaling the smoke of tobacco or a drug. Many cancerous and extremely harmful chemicals are released with burning tobacco and other drugs.
Vaping weed is a process that is healthier than traditional smoking since burning substances such as tobacco or marijuana create by-products that can harm the lungs and overall health.
Now that we know what these two are, let’s see how smoking and vaping affects our body
Smoking affects not just one part of your body but pretty much every single part of your body, it damages the brain and adds the risk of getting a stroke.
It affects your heart and adds the chances of getting a heart attack and other heart-related illnesses. It affects your throat and stomach and adds to the risks of getting throat cancer or stomach cancer.
Your lungs can be very badly affected by smoking. Coughs, colds, wheezing, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema and lung cancer. Smoking affects your skin and your bones causing the dullness of your skin and easy breakage of your bones.
It slowly and gradually makes your way to death, with the tar deposit in your oesophagus and your lungs. All of this because of the burning process.
Vaping on the other hand evaporates the liquid which is made out of food-grade products. It gives you a decent relief without damaging any part of your body. It has nicotine that can be addictive but nicotine is simply a choice.
We should understand that its better than dying. Nicotine intake is still better than losing a life.
What is the effect of vaping on your lungs?
If we keep it simple then, vaping does not affect the lungs because we need to understand that while vaping, we’re just inhaling vapours and no smoke. Vapours don’t carry massive numbers of harmful and deadly chemicals.
But there is one thing that needs to be kept in mind. Anything in excess is bad. Vaping is a healthier and safer alternative to smoking.
Vaping for that nicotine intake is perfectly fine but vaping along with smoking or vaping too much is not sensible. It does no to very little harm to your lungs.
Have a look at this experiment:
Vaping is significantly much safer than smoking in terms of our body, our mental health and our environment. The tar deposit in our lung airways and anywhere in our body is simply life-threatening.
We hope the information that we have collected above can help you in understanding that vaping is a safer alternative and it will not harm your lungs but smoking, it has been and it will keep on building stairs towards death.
